Days after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack which killed 26 people, Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday released photos of three suspects and announced a reward of rupees 20 lakh on information of them, PTI reported.

The posters, reportedly carrying the message that Kashmir stands united against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, have appeared across multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district. As per reports, it has been assured that the identity of the informants will be kept strictly confidential.

Earlier, Anantnag Police released similar posters identifying the attackers as local militant Adil Thoker and two Pakistani nationals, Ali Bhai and Hashim Musa.

On April 23, a day after the attack, security agencies released sketches of three men suspected to be behind the despicable attack.

The men were named Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah and Abu Talha, officials said. The three militants also had code names - Moosa, Yunus and Asif - and were involved in terror related incidents in Poonch.

The sketches were prepared with the help of survivors, the security agencies mentioned.

The attack, which is considered one of the deadliest since the 2019 Pulwama attack, was allegedly claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistan’s banned terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The attack killed at least 26 people, including 25 Indians and a Nepali citizen in the Baisaran meadow, which is around six kilometres from Pahalgam town.

As India retaliated with a measured, non-escalatory yet befitting missile attack 'Operation Sindoor' targeting the terror bases of Pakistan, they responded by attacking India's military bases and civilian areas near the international borders.

After days of hostilities along the Line of Control (LoC), India and Pakistan on Saturday reached a ceasefire understanding on May 10. India said that it had only stopped military action but wouldn't hold any diplomatic-level talks with Islamabad.
