The Jawan actor reportedly suffered a muscular injury while shooting.

The portal quoted a source saying, "While exact details of the injury have been kept under wraps, Shah Rukh, along with his team, has travelled to the US for urgent medical attention. It’s nothing serious, but more of a muscular injury, as Shah Rukh over the years has injured multiple muscles of his body while performing stunts."

SRK, 59, has been advised to take a one-month break to recover. Sources informed that he will resume shooting in September or October, after the break.

"The next schedule of King will now begin in September/October as SRK has been advised to take time off for recovery. On completely recovering from the injury, he will hit sets again with full force," informed the source.

The portal also reported that the bookings to shoot for different parts of King from July to August in Film City, Golden Tobbaco & YRF have been cancelled until further notice. The film is slated to be shot in India and Europe.

About King

Earlier, a report in Mid-Day stated Shah Rukh had started filming an action sequence at Mumbai's Mehboob Studios.

"The scene is set in a foreign jail, where the protagonist takes on a gang of baddies. Since it forms a critical part of the narrative, Siddharth has flown in three international stunt experts to design the scene. On June 15, the crowd portions were canned with nearly 200 stunt performers," the source had said.

He is reportedly playing an assassin in the upcoming thriller, while his daughter Suhana Khan is playing his protégé. Abhishek Bachchan is said to be playing the antagonist.
