Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav Lead Bihar Bandh Against Bihar Electoral Roll Revision

The Bihar bandh, called by the Mahagathbandhan alliance, kicked off on Wednesday with Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders protesting against the Election Commission’s June 24 order for a special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar. The EIC order comes months before Bihar is set to go to polls in the State Assembly Elections.

A procession was taken out from Gandhi Maidan in Gaya, which passed through Rai Kashinath Mod, Kachahari, the Collectorate, GB Road, Tower Chowk, and Ramna Road, covering various parts of the city. Leaders of the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) and trade union representatives are participating in the bandh.
