IND-W vs ENG-W: India secured a dominant six-wicket win against England in the fourth T20I match at Old Trafford, Manchester, on Wednesday, 9 July 2025. The Women in Blue chased down a modest total of 127 with three overs to spare, gaining a 3-1 lead to lock down the series. With the win, India secured their first-ever bilateral T20I series win against the Three Lions.
After winning the toss, England opted to bat, but Tammy Beaumont’s side were held to 126/7 in 20 overs courtesy of terrific spin bowling and fielding by India. Both Radha Yadav and Shree Charani took two wickets apiece in four overs, while Deepti Sharma and Amanjot Kaur dismissed Sophia Dunkley and Amy Jones, respectively.
The Indian spin onslaught completely destabilised England’s innings, and they managed just 88 runs in the last 13 overs of their innings.
India had the perfect start to their chase after their openers had a 56-run partnership off 43 balls. Shafali Verma starred with a 31-run knock from 19 balls. After their dismissal, Jemimah Rodrigues held together the innings with an unbeaten 24 off 22 balls, and her partnership with captain Harmanpreet Kaur (26 off 25) helped India reach the target in just 17 overs.
