The Proteas have already qualified for the final of their Tri-Nations series with New Zealand and Zimbabwe following a seven-wicket triumph over the latter.
South Africa will face New Zealand in the showpiece on July 26, but will face them once more in the group phase in Harare on Tuesday.
The Blackcaps won the first meeting by 21 runs, with Tim Robinson's unbeaten 75 runs from 57 deliveries doing the damage.
New Zealand are aiming to put together back-to-back victories over South Africa for the first time in the format.
South Africa, meanwhile, will become the eighth country to play 200 men's T20Is after Pakistan, India, New Zealand, West Indies, England, Sri Lanka and Australia.
Speaking after their win over Zimbabwe, Van der Dussen called for more control during the middle overs with the ball, but was pleased with their batting display.
They chased down a total of 145 with 16 balls to spare last time out.
"[The] Seamers were great, spinners were a touch expensive but the death bowling was excellent,” said the South Africa skipper.
"Our ground fielding needs to improve. We're letting things slip in the middle overs with the ball.
"Can't fault the performance with bat. The thing for us this series is experimenting with the side. We'll look at the series as a 3-match series.
"We're 1-0 down versus New Zealand, looking to equal that and win the final."
