Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 74 runs in the third T20I of the series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday, July 24. The hosts still claimed the series 2-1 with wins in the opening two games. Pakistan could only get a consolation win over Bangladesh who were denied a historic whitewash.
The hosts were bowled out for only 104 in 16.4 overs after Pakistan posted 178/7 in 20 overs thanks to a quick fifty by opener Sahibzada Farhan.
Earlier, Bangladesh had won the toss and decided to bowl first on a slightly slower surface in Mirpur.

Farhan and his opening partner Saim Ayub added 82 runs for the first wicket in just 7.5 overs to lay a solid foundation for Pakistan. With Mohammad Nawaz adding another quick 27 down the order, Pakistan were pushed to 178/7. Taskin Ahmed bowled a superb last over, giving away just five runs and taking two wickets.
However, the batting line-up of Bangladesh just crumbled. The fall of wickets could never be stopped and if not for Mohammed Saifuddin's 35, the hosts might have folded in double digits only.
