The Khelo India University Games 2025 will be hosted by the Poornima University and Rajasthan University, with the fifth edition of the tournament being announced for November in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The games will feature at least 20 under-25 events, with over 4,000 students taking part.

With over 200 universities taking part in the KIUG 2025, the events will include multiple disciplines. The event was announced by Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

"I am extremely happy to announce that the Khelo India University Games will take place in Rajasthan in November 2025. These Games are for under-25 athletes and will be coming after the under-18 Khelo India Youth Games that took place in Bihar in May this year,” Dr Mandaviya said. “These Games offer great opportunity for athletes who seek a national platform to impress our numerous scouts eyeing the best talents in the country.”

Last year, the KIUG 2025 was co-hosted by Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Tripura. The 11-day event had 20 disciplines, with a total of 770 medals being on offer. 4,500 athletes took part in the event.

Eight KIUG records were set last year, five of them in men’s events. The most successful female participant was Pratyasa Ray of Utkal University, who won four gold, one silver, and one bronze medal in swimming.

The team champions was secured by Chandigarh University. The second place was won by Lovely Professional University, which collected 20 gold medals, among others.
