PSG vs Real Madrid time from around the world:
Kylian Mbappe’s exit from PSG was, to put it in good terms, acrimonious. He left his hometown club to win the Champions League, which PSG promptly did the next season, while Real Madrid finished trophyless.
Now, the prodigal son will face his old side again, and in a match that can decide the early days of new manager Xabi Alonso. “The big day has finally arrived”, Mbappe wrote after PSG secured its semi-final spot in the Club World Cup.
We shall see what Madrid’s number 10 does on the big day today.

Today is a milestone day for Jude Bellingham, as he is making his 100th appearance for Real Madrid since sealing his USD 120.9 million move from Borussia Dortmund in 2023. Read what the English midfielder said about reaching this ‘dream come true’ milestone.
FYI, if Real Madrid’s Club World Cup campaign ends today, this will be the last time that Luka Modric will be seen in the iconic Los Blancos jersey. The Croatian is out of contract, and likely to move to AC Milan after the tournament’s end.
Kick off has been slightly delayed due to a reported traffic accident on the route to MetLife Stadium. The delay caused both teams to arrive 20 minutes later than scheduled.
The new kick off time is 20:10 BST (12:40 AM IST).
Only ten minutes until kick off now. Here are the visuals from both sets of players training at the MetLife Stadium.
Referee Szymon Marciniak blows his whistle, and we are underway at the MetLife Stadium. It’s a clash of European giants, with Chelsea waiting for the winner in the finals.
PSG 0-0 RMA (0’)
What a terrific direct start from PSG against Real Madrid’s backline. Courtois has made two stunning saves in the space of one minute, first denying a curling left-footed effort from Fabian Ruiz and then another effort from Dembele.
Madrid break quickly, and Mbappe has a shot at goal, but its grabbed easily by Donnarumma.
PSG 0-0 RMA (5’)
A complete mess at the back from Raul Asencio at the back. The Spaniard took way too long on the ball, and Dembele stole the ball. He is brought down by Courtois – which very well would have been a penalty – but Ruiz poked the loose ball into an empty net.
Real Madrid find themselves behind for the first time in this Club World Cup!
PSG 1-0 RMA (6’)
What is happening here?! Two mistakes in two minutes from Real Madrid’s defence, this time Rudiger making the blunder, miskicking the ball under pressure from Dembele. The Frenchman takes control of the ball and then finishes it past Courtois. Madrid are in shambles at the moment.
PSG 2-0 RMA (9’)
Real Madrid are making too many mistakes in midfield at the moment, with Los Blancos having around 36% ball possession at the moment. They are struggling to string together passes at the moment, and PSG are using the flanks and dictating the pace of the game at the moment. Vitinha, for one, is enjoying his time out on the pitch.
PSG 2-0 RMA (18’)
It’s going from bad to worse for Real Madrid. PSG are lethal in their attacking moves at the moment. Hakimi and Dembele combine in a terrific one-two that frees the Moroccan down the right, and he squares it to Ruiz in the box. The midfielder takes a touch to steady himself and then coolly finishes past Courtois for his third goal in the tournament.
PSG 3-0 RMA (24’)
PSG have continued their onslaught after the cooling break, and now control 80% of ball possession. Madrid, in their defence, have had four shots, but none have even remotely threatened Donnarumma’s goal.
Paris Saint-Germain, on the other hand, look like scoring every time they go forward, and Courtois makes a good snatch from Doue’s legs to deny another chance. Kvaratskhelia, meanwhile, makes a terrific steal from Bellingham and runs alone, but a fair challenge from the Real Madrid defence gives them a fighting chance.
PSG 3-0 RMA (37’)
Kvaratskhelia almost put PSG four goals up. Nuno Mendes played the Georgian in the box, and he tried to get around Asencio and curl in towards the far corner, but the contact wasn’t clean it flew past Courtois’s reach. Luis Enrique, as well as all the Madrid supporters in the stadium, gasped.
PSG 3-0 RMA (40’)
The fourth official indicates a minimum of three minutes to be added on after the end of the 45 minutes of regulation time. Half time cannot come quickly enough for Xabi Alonso’s side.
PSG 3-0 RMA (45’)
Nuno Mendes had a powerful shot at goal, but Courtois did well to palm it away. Joao Neves earned a yellow card trying to stop Madrid’s counterattack. Mbappe, too, had a free run at goal, but Donnarumma rushed forward quickly to grab the ball.
Finally, the referee blows his whistle, and the whirlwind first half comes to an end.
PSG 3-0 RMA (HT)
The players are out on the pitch, and the second half is underway in New Jersey. Neutrals will be hoping that it’s more of the same as what we saw in the first 45 minutes. Is an Istanbul-like comeback on the cards for Real Madrid, or will PSG bulldoze their way to the finals?
PSG 3-0 RMA (45’)
Ouff! Doue found himself alone in the box with only the goalkeeper to beat, and beat Courtois he did with a cool finish. The flag, however, goes up for a very tight offside call on Dembele. Warning signs for Madrid.
PSG 3-0 RMA (48’)
Ruiz is a constant menace in the box and was almost found by Hakimi with a low cross, but Courtois gathered well. Meanwhile, Goncalo Ramos comes on for PSG in place of Ousmane Dembele. Bradley Barcola replaces Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
PSG 3-0 RMA (59’)
Luka Modric comes on for his 596th, and surely the final, Real Madrid appearance, replacing Bellingham. Eder Militao makes his injury return as well, coming on in the place of Acensio. Brahim Diaz is the third change as Vinicius goes off.
PSG 3-0 RMA (65’)
Another double change for PSG. Tonight’s hero, Fabian Ruiz, comes off for Warren Zaire-Emery, and Senny Mayulu comes on in the place of Desire Doue.
With PSG’s intensity dropping off in the second half and Madrid committing men forward, Enrique opts to bring on fresh legs to snuff out any chance of a comeback.
PSG 4-0 RMA (67’)
A lethal shot from Valverde off the edge of the box, and it looked goalbound but hits the back of Beraldo and goes behind. Donnarumma is not happy with his defence. The resulting corner is wasted by Modric.
PSG 3-0 RMA (75’)
Less than 10 minutes of regulation time left to play for Paris Saint-Germain, and as things stand, they will face Chelsea in Sunday’s final. Six hours and forty minutes since PSG last conceded in the Club World Cup. Wow!
PSG 3-0 RMA (82’)
Militao got himself half a yard from Hakimi from a corner routine and headed towards the near post, but it goes a metre wide. Donnarumma had it covered anyway, but it’s a decent chance for Los Blancos in a day of few chances.
PSG 3-0 RMA (85’)
It was done and dusted for some time now, and substitute Goncalo Ramos now hits the final nail in Real Madrid’s coffin. A terrific cross from Hakimi finds Barcola in the box. Militao attempts to poke it away from his feet, but the youngster recovers and toys around the centre-back before finding Ramos, and the Portuguese turns and finds the bottom corner with a terrific finish.
A sombre celebration from Ramos in honour of his former Portuguese teammate Diogo Jota!
PSG 4-0 RMA (87’)
The referee puts Real Madrid out of their misery and blows his whistle at the end of 90 minutes. It was absolutely sublime from PSG tonight, and they rightfully go through to the finals as very much the tournament favourites.
