Music Duo Almost Famous Is Expected To Return To Season 2 Of The Tribe

Sources reveal that The Tribe on Amazon Prime Video may explore global music culture and international collaborations.

If sources are to be believed, the production of Season 2 of The Tribe, Amazon Prime Video’s youth-centric series, is underway. The show, which debuted in 2024, is developed by Dharmatic Entertainment and produced by Karan Johar. the show attracted viewers from various regions and gained popularity shortly after its release. Confirmed details from sources close to the production house reveal that Simarjeet Saini and Rishab Sadrangani, collectively known as the music duo Almost Famous, will return to the upcoming season.

The music duo were featured in The Tribe’s first season through both music contributions and a brief on-screen appearance. Their track “Let Me Go” featuring Hollywood actor and model Ana K Cruz was featured in the Season 1 soundtrack and credited in the show’s closing credits. According to Hardik Zaveri, business manager for Almost Famous, Season 2 is likely to feature a more detailed portrayal of the music industry, focusing on the cross-cultural dynamics of producing music across Hollywood and South Asia. Zaveri confirmed that discussions are ongoing about the possibility of guest appearances by international artists.

No official premiere date has been confirmed by the makers yet, but filming is expected to begin later this year. Amazon has also not disclosed whether Season 2 will follow the journey of the same young Indian influencers who tried making it big in LA in Season 1.

Almost Famous previously worked with artists such as Soulja Boy, Tyla Yaweh, Young Paris and Guru Randhawa. Their recent collaborations have included international music releases and a music video filmed in Mumbai. Reports also suggest that the duo plans to return to India by the year’s end for a tour.

The Tribe was produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment and targeted young, globally connected audiences. The viewer data from Season 1 indicates interest in episodes featuring international musical acts and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the entertainment world. However, further updates on Season 2 of the show, including how much of Almost Famous the audience will see, are yet to be announced.

One of their notable tracks was “Breakout,” a collaboration with Soulja Boy that combined trap beats with Indian melodies. The track exemplifies their commitment to bringing Indian sounds into mainstream Western music. This was followed by their debut EP, Lost Boy Journey, showcasing their versatility across genres.
