Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and makers of Sardaar Ji 3, stoked controversy for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film, drawing criticism from netizens and film bodies. Now, singer Mika Singh has slammed Diljit for working with Pakistani actors amid the tensions between India and Pakistan and even called him "fake singer", without taking his name. Though he didn't take his name, the post featured a collage picture of himself and Diljit, which made it evident that the post was directed to the Amar Singh Chamkila actor.

Mika Singh shared a note on his Instagram Story, where he wrote, "Desh Pehle (Nation first). Guys, as we all know, the relationship between India and Pakistan isn't going well right now. Yet some people continue to act irresponsibly. Before releasing any content that involves artists from across the border, they should think twice - especially when our nation's dignity is involved (sic)."

"There was a film featuring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor that many of us opposed, and yet, some still don't seem to get the message. What's more shocking is that a fake singer, after doing 10 shows in India with thousands of fans buying tickets, has now disappeared - leaving fans betrayed and helpless (sic)," he wrote further.

Sardaar Ji 3 controversy over casting Hania Aamir

When the teaser of Sardaar Ji 3 was released in India, it didn't feature Hania but there were reports claiming that she is part of the film. However, when the trailer released on June 22, her presence in the film was confirmed. It sparked outrage on social media and film bodies even called for boycotting Diljit Dosanjh and the producers.

Following the backlash, makers issued a statement where they clarified that the casting happened before the Pahalgam terror attack, and due to the current situation between India and Pakistan, they have decided to release Sardaar Ji 3 overseas, and not in India.
