Lahore's iconic Gaddafi Stadium is set to host all three T20Is between Pakistan and Bangladesh later this month, as both teams look to fine-tune their preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The series, which has undergone multiple changes in structure and venue, will now be played entirely in the heart of Pakistan’s cricketing capital, commencing from May 28.
Originally scheduled as a six-match bilateral series — comprising three ODIs and three T20Is — the tour was first trimmed to five T20Is, with Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium also set to host two games.
However, due to logistical and operational reasons, the series has now been shortened further to just three T20Is, all of which will be contested at the Gaddafi Stadium.
The matches are scheduled for May 28, May 30, and June 1, giving fans in Lahore a three-day cricket spectacle spread across five days.
Pakistan will be led by Salman Ali Agha in this transitional series, which will also mark the debut series for their new head coach, Mike Hesson.
The 16-member squad features a mix of fresh faces and experienced campaigners, with the PCB clearly using this series as a building block for long-term T20I success.
On the other hand, Bangladesh after losing 1-2 T20I series to UAE will arrive in Lahore on May 25.
Under the new leadership of Litton Das, the team will kick off their preparations with a training session on May 26. The series presents a crucial opportunity for the Tigers to regroup and assess their combinations ahead of the global T20 event next year.
With both sides in transitional phases and a World Cup less than a year away, the Lahore T20Is promise to deliver high-stakes cricket filled with experimentation, opportunities, and the first signs of new beginnings.
Series Schedule:
First T20I: Wednesday, May 28 - Gaddafi Stadium
Second T20I: Friday, May 30 - Gaddafi Stadium
Third T20I: Sunday, June 1 - Gaddafi Stadium
