Rakesh Roshan Undergoes Neck Angioplasty, Family Shares Health Update

Rakesh Roshan's daughter Sunaina Roshan has confirmed that her father has undergone angioplasty in the neck, and is "completely fine now."

Recently, reports surfaced that Hrithik Roshan's father, actor-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has been admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. It was reported that he was taken to the hospital on Wednesday July 16 after his health deteriorated.

Rakesh Roshan's daughter Sunaina has confirmed the news and shared that her father has undergone angioplasty in the neck. He is currently recovering in a hospital in Mumbai. Sunaina said that he is "completely fine now."

Sunaina told Amar Ujala Digital, "Yes, papa had an angioplasty in his neck, but he’s perfectly fine now. There’s nothing to worry about. He’s resting."

A report in India Forum states that Roshan's family is beside him and they are keeping an eye as he recuperates. Hrithik has also been visiting his father in the hospital regularly. Saba Azad, Hrithik's partner and Sunaina, are also there to support him. As per sources, "Rakesh Roshan has now been shifted from the ICU to a general ward, and his condition is stable."

Rakesh Roshan was a popular actor in the 1970s and 1980s. He starred in films like Paraya Dhan, Aankh Micholi, Khubsoorat, Kaamchor, Man Mandir, Khel Khel Mein, Khandaan, and more. He made his directorial debut in 1987 with Khudgarz, and went on to helm films like Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gya, Krrish, and Krrish 3, among others.

He was supposed to direct Krrish 4, but now his son will be making his directorial debut with the film. He also confirmed it in an Instagram post that read: "Duggu 25 years back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings! (sic)".
