India's wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant joined former opener batter Virender Sehwag for the record of most sixes for an India batter in Test cricket. He reached the milestone during the ongoing fourth Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series match at Old Trafford in Manchester on Thursday.

During his 12-year Test career, Sehwag played 103 matches for India and hammered 90 sixes, whereas Pant, who is playing his 47th Test in Manchester this week, also has 90 sixes to his credit
Pant achieved the feat during the 111th over of India's batting when Jofra Archer came to bowl the over. Pant swung his bat on one of his slower deliveries, and it went for a massive six. That six took his total to 90 sixes in his Test career, which is equal to Virender Sehwag.

During his 12-year Test career, Sehwag played 103 matches for India and hammered 90 sixes, whereas Pant, who is playing his 47th Test in Manchester this week, also has 90 sixes to his credit.
Pant made 54 runs off 75 balls before Jofra Archer dismissed him with a brilliant delivery. He hit three fours and a couple of sixes in his valiant knock.
India were restricted to 358 runs in the second innings on Day 2. Ben Stokes took a five-wicket haul after eight years, whereas Archer grabbed three wickets for England.
Pant also overtook Alec Stewart for making most runs in a Test series in England by a wicketkeeper. He has made 479 runs so far in this series. Stewart made 464 runs against South Africa in 1998.
Jamie Smith of England can overtake Pant in this series. He has made 415 runs in this Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series so far.
