Veterans Travis Head and Josh Hazlewood are set to return in the yellow as Australia on Wednesday announced their squads for the white-ball series against South Africa. However, ODI captain Pat Cummins and experienced left-arm seamer Mitchell Starc have not been selected. The three-match ODI and T20I series will kickstart the Australian summer.

Pace-bowling all-rounder Mitch Owen has been handed his debut ODI call-up after an impressive showing in the T20I series against West Indies where the Aussies won 5-0. Owen was the Player of the Tournament in the recently-concluded Major League Cricket and also won the Player of the Match in his maiden T20I.
With Pat Cummins sitting out, Mitch Marsh will be leading in ODIs as well.
Australia named only 14-player squads for both the series and chief selector George Bailey said that some players not part of the squad will take part in Top End series.
"The smaller squad for a home series, along with the return of Travis Head and Josh Hazlewood, see some players not part of the squad for this Top End series, but all remain in the frame moving forward and we feel the entire group embraced every opportunity," Chair of Selectors George Bailey said.
