Sharma's scores were 18-21, 21-12, and 21-8. Despite dropping the first game, she made a strong comeback, dominating the next two to seal the victory in just 46 minutes.

Ayush Shetty started strong in the Men’s Singles qualification round of 16, easing past Finland’s Joakim Oldorff in straight games. The Indian shuttler dominated the contest, winning 21-10, 21-11 in just 29 minutes on Court 2 to seal a comfortable passage into the next round.

Ira Sharma has earned a well-fought victory in her first qualification match. Sharma defeated Thet Hthar Htuzar of Myanmar 18-21, 21-8, 21-12 to qualify into the second round of qualifiers where she will face Thailand's Thamonwan Nithiittikrai.

Ayush Shetty is currently in action in his second round of men's singles qualifiers. He is up against Justin Hoh from Malaysia. Hoh is currently leading 12-7.
